About
Kim brings to Compass Health her many years of diverse counselling experiences in both private practice and community, not-for-profit settings. She has provided both individual and couples counselling and  has facilitated a number of psycho-educational groups. Most recently, Kim has worked primarily with a young adult population and with individuals with disabilities. Her counselling work is strengths-based and client-centered and encompasses Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused, Emotion-Focused and Mindfulness based theoretical approaches. As a practitioner, she has worked collaboratively with clients in helping them to deal with challenges imposed by anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, emotional dysregulation, relationship issues, life transitions and the stress associated with work and academics.

Kim is from the east coast of Newfoundland and has lived in the St. John’s area for several years. She holds bachelors’ degrees in arts and education and a Master’s degree in Education (Counselling Psychology) from Memorial University and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
