About
John is passionate about helping people move through life’s challenges—especially anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties with partners, family, friends, or colleagues. He recently completed a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and also holds a PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology with postdoctoral training in neuroscience. This strong science background informs his counselling work with substance use and addiction, as well as the mental-health concerns that can come with aging, neurodegenerative conditions, and other illnesses.

John believes every person’s story is unique. He tailors therapy to your goals and pace, offering a welcoming, non-judgmental space to talk things through and make practical changes. His approach draws from person-centred, existential, narrative, solution-focused, and strength-based therapies. Together, you’ll identify what’s getting in the way and build the skills and supports to move forward.
